Does this state require Home Inspectors to be licensed?

No, however, on June 28, 2007, SB 2234 was passed which requires licensure of home inspectors and mold remediators.  The bill becomes effective July 1, 2010 and will require that an applicant for Home Inspection:

Are there any educational requirements to be licensed?

No, no currently. Effective July 1, 2010, applicants will need to complete a course of study (approved by the department) of no less than 120  hours that covers the following components: structure, electrical, HVAC, roof, plumbing, interiors, exteriors and site conditions that affect the structure

Is there a state exam requirement to be licensed?

No, not currently.

Are there any experience requirements to be licensed?

No, not currently

Are there any other requirements to be licensed?

No, not currently. However, effective July 1, 2010, the following requirements will go into affect:
